Stand off with Mr. Squirrel

I have spent all spring feeding the birds, specifically the red wing black birds who nest near my house each year. I have two bird feeders which I can view from my windows. I was told by someone close to me that if I fed the birds long enough I would attract squirrels. Of course I wisely reported no, this is the beach, I don't have any squirrels in my yard.

This photo snapped by my daughter, through the window, proves that I apparently do not know what I am talking about. Not only do I have a squirrel , it is a very healthy squirrel. Mr. squirrel resides a good bit of the time in one of the palm trees by my deck. He can curl his body around the tree and can make himself almost disappear. A good testimony as to how camouflage works.
