Quilt Guild Challenge

This project was made to participate in my guild challenge. Each of us was given a fatquarter of the multicolored fabric and directions to go no larger than 24"x24". The wall hanging was machine pieced and partially machine quilted. I hand quilted the rest as I added the blue bugle beads. I found the block pattern in a Quilters Newsletter Publication. They rate their patterns and this one had a three thimble rating. It was one of the most challenging blocks I have ever pieced. I am one of those "PEOPLE WHOSE POINTS HAVE TO MATCH" so it was a test of patience but well worth the time. I made four blocks and then used half blocks to make the outside shape irregular, simply by cutting the pieces all in red. The binding was cut on the bias and was no problem to do.
