Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

Today is my son's birthday. This photo with his new puppy, Rufus, has certainly prompted memories from the past. He was the calm baby who slept through the night unless he was sick, the little boy who always had a smile on his face and he loved all of our pets. In my mind I can see him helping his sister dress Mac in dollclothes, playing in the pool with Macho, and sharing my concern for my old girl Maggie as she aged. He and Rufus seem to be a perfect fit. What better present can you give yourself than an Airedale puppy, and I am thrilled to have another grandale.
