Laurenia the Merfairie

As a member of the Fairie Goddess Mother's Quilt Group we are encouraged to write a creative story and make a quilt to illustrate the story. Linda M. Poole is the originator of the list, author of "Quilted Fairie Tales" and creater of the Quilted Fairie Tale exhibit. She provides her basic fairie pattern for us to use and the challenge to seek new directions in quilting. Members complete their quilts and send them to Linda to become a part of the traveling quilt exhibit.

My delightful granddaughter provided the inspiration for this project. Laurenia and her story will be shared with elementary school classes before being sent to travel with the exhibit.
